Rant – Fast Five… Or Fast and the Furious 5… Or whatever

When Dominic (Diesel) is busted out of prison in the high octane opening sequence of Fast Five,  the whole gang relocate to Rio in order to lie low. Of course, lying low has never been their strong point, and when – within a matter of days – a heist goes wrong, it is up to Brian (Walker), Dominic and their friends to band together for ‘one last job’, bring down a crime lord and evade the FBI’s Hobbs (Johnson). Rant – The Problem With Kick-Ass

Rant – CGI? Give me handmade (almost) any time..

This week Avatar has passed the $1 billion mark at the box office. The fact that the movie already ranks number 4 on the all time list of box office champions is pretty amazing after an uninspiring opening weekend of $77 million. I have seen Avatar; having seen the trailer I could pretty much predict what was going to happen over the course of the film. What I was not prepared for was the beauty of the film. Continue reading
