Cinema Review – Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) face off in a fight sparked by the damage done to Wayne Enterprises during Superman’s fight to save the world from General Zod (Michael Shannon) in Man of Steel. Of course, things are not so simple, with Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) skewing the odds in an attempt to gain ultimate power and destroy Superman forever, and the world turning on their alien messiah after attacks on humans. Cinema Review – Trumbo

In 1940s Hollywood, the Communist Party had fallen out of favour, with suspicions about members beginning to spring up. Screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) was one of the Hollywood professionals forced to appear before the House Un-American Activities Committee when his support of Communism was revealed and, although he continued to write Oscar winning screenplays, he had to do it in secret for much of hi career since he was black listed due to his political affiliations. Cannes Review – Inside Out

Joy (Amy Poehler) came into being as an emotion in Riley’s (Kaitlyn Dias) head the moment she was born, quickly followed by Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Anger (Lewis Black). As Riley has grown, they have protected her, and helped her make decisions, but when Riley’s family moves from Minnesota to San Fransisco, and Joy and Sadness become lost in Riley’s mind, they must band together to return to headquarters and help Riley deal with the changes in her life.
