Cannes Review – Macbeth

As Scotland tears itself apart with civil war, Macbeth (Michael Fassbender) hears a prophecy from a trio of witches, saying he will one day be king of the country he is fighting for. Pushed into action by his manipulative wife (Marion Cotillard), Macbeth takes matters into his own hands, and decides to make the prophecy come true.

Cinema Review – Snowtown

Snowtown is a film about the Snowtown murders – known in Australia as the Bodies in the Barrels. The film takes its name from the remote Adelaide area where several murders took place in the late 1990s. 16 year old Jamie (Lucas Pittaway) strikes up a friendship with John (Daniel Henshall), who forms a father figure for the young boy.
