Kat (Shailene Woodley) is 17 when her mother disappears without a word and without a trace. Kat, however, seems hardly phased by this, since she and her mother have had a troubled relationship since she became a teenager. As Kat tries to continue with her life, with her boyfriend Phil (Shiloh Fernandez) and with her friends, the absence of her mother hovers over her like a cloud. Cinema Review – The Fault in Our Stars

Hazel (Shailene Woodley) is a sixteen year old cancer patient whose mother believes she will benefit from going to a support group. Although Hazel disagrees, she goes for the sake of her mother, and meets Augustus Waters (Ansel Engort). The two bond over their shared experiences, and their shared admiration of the novel An Imperial Affliction. 100 years after a war devastated the world, society is divided into factions based on virtues. When she comes of age, Tris (Shailene Woodley) must undergo an aptitude test before choosing which faction she will spend her life with.
